LED as IoT

'LED as IoT' summarizes lighting's new Internet of Things capabilities, with practical applications in
museums, stores, event spaces, and more. LED as IoT simplifies the cutting-edge technology so that
specifiers feel confident designing with IoT luminaires.

At the center of the 'Internet of Things' (IoT) revolution is lighting. Luminaires have evolved past lighting
to listen, talk, and even think. Such unprecedented capabilities raise challenging questions:

• Which network standards are ideal for IoT?

• What can IoT-capable LEDs do?
• Where will IoT-capable LEDs be useful?
• IoT luminaire capabilities, including data collection, response, and reporting.
• Pros & Cons of popular and emerging mesh networks, including Bluetooth, Zigbee, LiFi, and
• Practical applications of beacon technology.
• Step by step guide for application.
• LED as IoT' awards 1 AIA HSW credit (redeemable for NCQLP or engineering credit).
